Prior to joining Nooma, Virali Parekh, Ph.D. was a postdoctoral research fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital in affiliation with Harvard Medical School and a biological scientist at the University of Florida where she investigated new therapeutic approaches to treat rare and neurodegenerative diseases. During her Ph.D., she spearheaded three multiyear projects resulting in two peer-reviewed publications and a novel proof-of-concept for a potential gene editing therapeutic approach for repeat expansion neurodegenerative diseases.
